Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks made the news last month when he complimented President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka following their White House visit after winning the Super Bowl.

It appears Ivanka, 43, was flattered by Ricks’ comments as she left him a note when she visited the Eagles’ facility on Friday, Fox News reported. “Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you!” Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kushner, wrote in the note. “Go Birds!”

She also took to X to share a photo of the note as well as Ricks’ locker. “Missed you today @eliasricks !” she captioned.

Ricks later took to Instagram to respond to Ivanka’s note, jokingly writing that he owed her a bottle of wine. “My apologies,” Ricks, 23, shared on his Instagram stories. “I owe you a bottle of wine now.”

Ricks and Ivanka exchanging words came after he complimented her beauty when he saw her at the White House during the Eagles’ visit. Ivanka left the note in his locker when she and her children visited the  Eagles’ training facility.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts skipped the April 28 visit to the White House. His absence came after he gave a silent response when he was asked if he was going to honor the visit during a red carpet interview for the 2025 TIME 100 gala on April 24.

The Eagles’ visit to the White House also came after they opted not to honor that invitation when they won the Super Bowl in 2018. Trump, who was president at the time, criticised their decision. But he took a different tone this time around and showered praises on the team during their visit.
