District Attorney Bubba Bramlett of Madison and Rankin Counties said on Tuesday that 47-year-old Kenneth Ray Jackson entered a guilty plea to the transfer of 10 to 20 dosage units of methamphetamine as a non-violent habitual offender.

WLBT reports that Jackson called the Madison County Sheriff’s Department on June 10, 2024, claiming to be Tony. He told the police that a female Nissan employee would be working that day and was involved in drug distribution.
But as the investigation progressed, it was found that Jackson had given them a fake identity and neglected to tell the police that the woman was, in fact, his estranged wife.

The Canton man contacted investigators again while they were looking at his ex-wife’s car and said that her gas cap would contain 23 ecstasy tablets.
Jackson was detained after it was discovered that he had placed a baggie of drugs inside the gas cap.
Jackson was given an 18-year sentence in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole.
